Totes At Treasure and Bond
Last Friday, I stopped by this lovely and spacious new store, Treasure and Bond. Owned by Nordstrom, this one of a kind store is artfully curated with clothes, accessories and gift items. The best part is that 100% of the sales go to the charity. Think of it as an upscale Housing Works without the thrift goods. Located on West Broadway, I think it will do well in the area.

—I don’t even want to get to into the debate about Kreayshawn’s authenticity or lack of  self-awareness. The lyrics of her song “Gucci, Gucci” are spot on. According to the New York Times, luxury good retailers are doing very well despite the recession. It can’t be just rich girls buying Gucci, the “basic bitches” must be buying them too. I love clothes, and I enjoy shopping, but I can’t justify spending my rent money on something I wear.
